Today in the library, we talked about the beginning, middle, and end of a story. I told the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which most of them have already heard. Using that familiar story was a great way for them to be successful identifying what happened at the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
Then, we used the Story Scramble at Arthur's PBS kids site to practice reading a 3-frame scrambled up story and putting it in the correct order. Next, students used the laptops to practice on their own. They were fantastic! I loved seeing them help each other and correcting their own mistakes along the way. These guys are so smart and hardworking!
