Get Wild About Reading

Our kindergartners eagerly select books each week and love sharing their book titles with each other.  They are already wild about reading, so I know they will enjoy the PBS Kids Between the Lions, Get Wild About Reading site.  I'll show them how to read stories, watch short video clips, and play rhyming and sound recognition games geared for boosting their reading interest and ability.

We'll have to begin with some basic computer instruction.  This is the first time I've used the laptops with kindergartners this year.  They used them in the library last year and have weekly computer lab sessions, so I won't have to teach the basics. It's a refresher and a review of important computer safety rules, especially since we will be on the Internet for this activity.
