Parts of a Story

A big part of reading comprehension is being able to summarize a story.    This week, students will practice identifying the beginning, middle, and end of a story to build comprehension skills.

We'll begin with a simple retelling of the classic folktale, Goldilocks and the Three Little Bears

Then, we will practice in whole group on putting a story in order using PBSKids, Story Scramble site.

There are lots of stories here that students can practice on their own, too.  Students don't have to be able to read since they can listen to the parts of the story by clicking on the speaker.
