I read Imogene's Antlers to during morning reading with one of the kindergarten classes last week. They loved the fantastical idea of a little girl growing animal parts and had some really good ideas about how that could happen. Did she dream it? Did she make the antlers and peacock feathers and pretend they were real?
This week in library, I read the book to both kindergarten classes and showed them how to use the buildyourwildself.com Web site to make a wild version of themselves. Here are some of their wild creations:
